Competition WEEK or WEAK?
So, I'm rolling around to the week of South Carolina USA's. Am I excited. YEA, HELL YEA. I have competed in 3 National level competitions before this. 2003 Team Universe, 2004 Atlantic States where I placed 1st, and last month I placed 2nd in the 2005 NYC Metropolitan. HOWEVER, those were all local. I get to travel for this one, so I suppose It seems I've placed it on a much grander scale.
that's not the only reason I'm Psyched. I feel I have come a long way since last year and even since last month!!! I have really been crankin' along on my Delts and Arms. I have definitely reaped the rewards. I have been suffering quite badly from tendonitis in my shoulders. The right one is significantly worse and more painful. I try and block it out when I'm actually lifting, however, hot pads, Ben Gay and a chiropractor is needed soon after.
What pushes me through Military press, Inclines, and Front raises? Well, I think of my friends Davana Medina, Tara Scotti and Irina ( a regular member at my gym). I want is SO BADLY it hurts. LITERALLY. I must admit that I get so excited when I see my muscles filling up with blood on shoulder day and arms day! HOWEVER, I enjoy the looks on the male members' faces when they realize that I have a better balanced and leaner physique than they do!
Ok, so what's up with the Title of this Blog? I guess I'm just looking forward to that week post competition. sleep, eat, NOT TRAIN, sleep, eat , eat, eat... hey even maybe possibly do something 'normal' like see a movie, shop or visit friends! 6 more days til' I'm confidently gallivanting across that South Carolina stage! I hope you can all Join me... I'm excited to see my competitors and excited to see how I do amongst the 'Big Dogs'
Thank you for all your support!
